To mark the 30th anniversary of the Schengen Agreement and the Presidency Luxembourg Council of the European Union, the Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) today announced that it will be offering Saturday afternoon bus trips to Schengen until 12 September 2015.
Visitors will received the chance to travel from the ancient fortress city of Luxembourg to the 'cradle of the European Union' and subsequent symbol of borderless Europe, Schengen. Participants will be accompanied by a LCTO guide, who will bring visitors to the birthplace of the 'founding father of Europe', Robert Schumann, to the meeting point of the three borders on the Moselle.
Additionally, visitors willbe offered a guided tour of the Schengen museum to learn about the famous Schengen Agreement, as well as views of the 'border triangle' of Germany-Luxembourg-France.
The bus will leave from La Place de la Consitution in Luxembourg City at 14:00 every Saturday until 12 September 2015 (inclusive). The return journey is scheduled for 17:00 later that afternoon. Guide information will be offered in French, German and English.
