On Thursday 10 September 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that a 72-year-old woman was injured in an accident at Oberkorn railway station earlier same day.
According to initial information, the accident occurred at around 11:30 while the woman was searching for an object on the railway tracks. She reportedly failed to notice an approaching train carriage, which struck her despite braking.
The woman subsequently fell and sustained a head injury. She also complained of back pain and was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
According to initial information, her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Police stated that the investigations into the exact circumstances of the accident are ongoing.
