As of tomorrow, 6 June 2015, all bus lines in Luxembourg city will be free on Saturdays.

The Ville de Luxembourg has announced that all municipal bus lines (1-31) will be free for passenger use on Saturdays, as well as the Eurobus lines (120, 125, 144, 165, 167, 195, 192) and RGTR lines 215 and 222 providing intra-city service.

Through this measure, the Ville de Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, is meeting the demand of traders in the capital and seeks to encourage citizens and visitors to enjoy the offer of public transport around town.

This promotion will apply until the end of 2017, when the situation will be reassessed.

The municipal bus lines 1-31 will also remain free on the first Sunday of the month, the dates chosen for Sunday openings and garage sales. In addition, following the reorganisation of the bus network, RGTR lines 120, 144, 192, 194 and 215 will also be free from Sunday, 7 June 2015. This service is offered by the City of Luxembourg in collaboration with the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure.

The City of Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, also announced that the validity of the City-Kaart and Job-Kaart is extended with immediate effect. Subscriptions City-Kaart and Job-Kaart are now also valid on bus lines AVL / RGTR lines (4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 16, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 ) as well as on the RGTR lines servicing the city (lines 172, 215, 222) and the combined lines RGTR / AVL (120, 125, 144, 165, 167, 192, 194 and 195) for intra-city trips.
