The Polish School Parents Association, along with the Polish School and Pre-School, the Polish Catholic Mission and the Polish Embassy, have announced that they will be holding their Picnic, in celebration of International Children’s Day on Sunday 7 June from 11:00 to 18:00 in Capellen at the Caper Piwitschen Chalet.
Children of all ages and nationalities are invited to join the annual tradition, which will have various attractions and activities, including bouncy castles, sack races, tennis and other sport and games competitions. For this year’s edition, the organisers will be handing out a special ‘bicycle driving licence. Willing participants are requested to bring their own bicycles.
In terms of culinary options, attendees will be able to enjoy a taste of some excellent Polish cuisine, with traditional dumplings, gherkins, bigos, barbecue and homemade cakes.
Parents are advised, that they will remain responsible for their own children throughout the day.
The event is free and subsidised by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
