OGBL is teaming up with other labour associations, to organise the tenth annual “Fête du travail et des cultures” this Friday 1 May at Neimënster in Luxembourg-Grund from 11:00 to 18:00.
André Roeltgen, OGBL President, expressed his joy at the yearly occasion, saying the celebration will be an unforgettable experience for those who attend, with thousands of people representing all strands of the Luxembourg population - in terms of nationalities and cultures – gathering to share and enjoy international culinary specialities and experience a live, high-quality musical and cultural programme for all ages.
Big Music Band 2001 will take care of the event’s grand opening from 10:45 to 11:30, with a selection of concerts of different genres – rock, pop, reggae, world music and Indie-Pop occurring throughout the day. Acts such as Acoustic Fight, Cassandra Lobo and The Tame and the Wild will perform live for the audience.
David Goldrake will perform two magic shows in the afternoon– from 14:00 to 14:40 and from 17:15 to 18:00. Moreover, there will also be a selection of dramas in the form of skits, readings, choreographies and pantomimes.
Workshops, music and storytelling are some of the highlights of the extensive programme that has been elaborated for the children. Various craft workshops, face-painting, mythology readings and of course, a bouncy castle will guarantee a fun day out for the younger generation as well.
