Go By Brooks will be playing an acoustic concert this Thursday 10 January 2019 at the Purple Lounge at Casino 2000; doors open at 20:30.
This will be the Luxembourg melancholic rock band's first concert on their "Another Flame" tour following last month's release of the new album of the same name. Go By Brooks will perform songs from this album in acoustics.
Starting off as vocalist Laetitia Koener's solo project, the group has grown since its creation in 2013 to largely stand out from its initial acoustic folk genre. The band, whose name was inspired by singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen, has since focused on electric instruments and moved into a more pop-rock and classic rock repertoire. Branching from one to three to today's five members, Go By Brooks has found its balance; subtle harmonies and instrumental parts mixed with Laetitia’s rather dark lyrics define the band's contemporary, melancholic-rock musical style.
Their first album, "Rivers", was released in 2015 and the second, "Oceans" in 2016. Since then, the band has performed numerous concerts in Luxembourg and the Greater Region, especially in 2017 when they performed in Luxembourg, Metz, Saarbrücken, Trier and Arlon. Go By Brooks presented their brand new album "Another Flame" at the Kulturfabrik in Esch-sur-Alzette on 8 December 2018.
Tickets cost €9 per person. The concert is reserved for adults not banned from gambling.
