On Tuesday 26 November 2024, Luxembourg asset manager GSLP International Sàrl announced that it is to join Switzerland-based company Cinerius.

Founded in 1987, GSLP is an independent asset management company and will be the first Luxembourg company to join Cinerius, an internationally operating group of independent asset managers. The transaction is still subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.

GSLP manages more than €500 million in assets from private clients. The company will continue to operate as an independent business, and the current management of GSLP, Norbert Lersch, Arnd Brüggenwirth and Stefan Schlicher, will remain in place. The existing shareholders expect that the affiliation with the Cinerius Group will enable a further increase in growth.

Commenting on the collaboration, Norbert Lersch, Managing Partner at GSLP, said: "Cinerius understands the requirements of our industry and offers our company long-term stability and independence. We are pleased to use this partnership as a growth lever for customers and employees and to be able to create suitable age-related succession solutions at GSLP in the long term."

Sibylle Peter, member of the Board of Directors of Cinerius Financial Partners, explained: "With GSLP, we are pleased to welcome another competent company to the Cinerius Group. With over 35 years of expertise as an independent asset manager in Luxembourg, the company is ideally positioned to continue its growth trajectory together with us. Cinerius is pleased to be present in Luxembourg, an important financial centre in Europe, with a partner company in the future."

Cinerius Financial Partners AG, headquartered in Zug, brings together independent asset managers in Switzerland, Germany, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg as a group under one roof. The aim of the company is to promote the growth of its partner companies by providing the individual members of the group with resources and strategic support, particularly with regard to growth.

With the addition of GSLP, the Cinerius Group has grown to ten partner companies with a total of around 170 employees at fifteen locations and around 6,500 clients, who together manage assets of around CHF 14 billion.
