The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a serious road accident took place near Stegen on Sunday 19 May 2024.
At around 18:45 on Sunday, a car was involved in an accident on the road between Stegen and Diekirch. The vehicle came off the road and was thrown several metres into a forest, noted the police.
The driver suffered serious injuries and had to be rescued from the vehicle by the emergency services. After receiving initial treatment on-site, the driver was taken to hospital for further treatment. The passenger suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital for a medical check-up.
An accident report was drawn up.
