The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a 91-year-old woman has passed away after being hit by a van in Mondercange on Friday morning.
The accident occurred at a pedestrian crossing on Rue d'Esch at around 07:00 on Friday.
Police had also reported that the van driver was subjected to a rapid drug test, which came back positive.
After receiving initial medical attention on site, the victim, who was from Mondercange, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police confirmed that she died from her injuries on Saturday afternoon.
