On Friday 23 January 2026, the Luxembourg Ministry of Health and Social Security reported that eHealth services may be temporarily inaccessible when authentication is performed using Luxtrust Mobile or Scan products.

According to the ministry, this temporary inaccessibility is due to a compliance issue on the part of the eSanté Agency. As a result, certain eHealth services are currently unavailable, including the Shared Care Record, the Electronic Vaccination Record and Immediate Direct Payment. However, activation and access to the Shared Care Record via MyGuichet.lu remain available for patients.

The ministry said that teams from the eSanté Agency and its providers are actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. 

The ministry emphasised that connections using a Luxtrust Smartcard are not affected by this issue. Patients and healthcare professionals who do not have such a card can, in the meantime, log in using their credentials (ID/password) and a one-time password (OTP).
