The Grand Ducal Police has reported two separate shoplifting incidents in Bereldange and Luxembourg-Kirchberg that took place on Wednesday 1 July 2026.
The first incident occurred at a supermarket on Route de Luxembourg in Bereldange. According to initial information, two men allegedly attempted to steal bottles of alcohol. After being confronted by security staff, they became physically aggressive. A police patrol attended the scene and located both individuals.
Later the same day, the police were informed of another shoplifting incident at a shopping centre on Rue Alphonse Weicker in Luxembourg-Kirchberg. According to initial information, two suspected shoplifters attempted to steal several items of clothing but were stopped by security staff. Later a police patrol attended the scene and carried identification procedures before the report was completed.
In both cases, the officers drew up a report.
