The Grand Ducal Police have reported that on Wednesday 27 May 2026, a man was arrested in Clervaux in connection with a domestic violence case involving his former partner.
According to the police, around midday officers were alerted to the incident and immediately dispatched to the scene, where they encountered the victim, who had sustained several injuries. Initial information indicated that the suspect had physically assaulted his former partner before fleeing the scene.
Police later located and apprehended the suspect.
Acting on the instructions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the man was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Thursday 28 May 2026.
