On Thursday 21 May 2026, the Grand Ducal Police issued appeals for witnesses in relation to two separate hit-and-run accidents that occurred earlier this month.

The first incident took place on Rue de Windhof in Koerich during the night of Friday 1 to Saturday 2 May 2026. A vehicle struck and damaged a lamppost before the driver fled the scene without stopping to report the accident. The vehicle involved is believed to be a Peugeot with French licence plates.

The second incident occurred at the intersection of Rue de Rome and Rue de Lisbonne in Mamer at around 16:00 on Sunday 3 May 2026. According to initial reports, a minibus was attempting to reverse into Rue de Rome when it was struck by a car. The driver of the car continued driving without stopping to exchange information or report the accident. The vehicle in question is described as a medium-sized black car with white licence plates.
