Hundreds of people gathered Sunday afternoon in Remich for one of this year's final Carnival celebrations in Luxembourg.

Every year, locals and visitors alike come to the Grand Duchy to celebrate carnival; this year was no different with the final Cavalcades of 2019 once again taking place on "Bretzelsonndeg", another Luxembourgish tradition.

One of the biggest celebrations took place in Remich in the Moselle region, where a huge crowd gathered in the streets to participate in and enjoy the area's 34th Cavalcade parade. This year saw the participation of 43 floats, accompanied by lots of Carnival music, sweets, alcohol and confetti.

The final Cavalcade of the year took place a few hours later in Wasserbilleg, which decided to hold its celebrations at night for the first time.
