Carlyle Luxembourg Raises €1.4k for SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde

On Monday 10 August 2026, Luxembourg non-profit organisation SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde (SOSVEM) announced it had received a donation of €1,400 from Carlyle Luxembourg.

According to SOSVEM, in spring 2026, a fundraising initiative in the form of solidarity lunch breaks brought together employees of Carlyle’s Luxembourg office to raise funds around the cause of children. For four weeks, members of the Women ERG team prepared international menus, which they then sold to their colleagues during lunchtime.

In total, €1,400 was raised and the donation was presented to Lisa Forrler, Communications and Fundraising Officer and Anne Schweizer, Partnerships Manager, from SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde during a presentation held on Wednesday 22 July at the offices of the asset management company.

SOSVEM said the funds will be allocated to projects it supports in Morocco, where a co-educational middle school and a boarding school for girls will open their doors in Aït Ourir at the start of the next school year, an education project which was launched following the devastating 2023 earthquake in the area.

At the presentation the two representatives of SOSVEM expressed their warm thanks for these solidarity lunches, as well as for other spontaneous donations made by employees of the company in 2025 and 2026. They were delighted to know that they could continue to count on the generosity of Carlyle Luxembourg in support of vulnerable children around the world.

Since 2024, at the initiative of Estelle Beyl Vodouhe, Co-Head of Platform Investing and Head of Real Assets, and Christina De Almeida, Office Manager, Carlyle Luxembourg, has supported the work of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde through various initiatives, such as the “Giving Tuesday” campaign and the “20 km for SOS” challenge.
