Luxembourg's National Roads Administration has announced resurfacing works on the A13 motorway between the Frisange and Altwies interchanges from approximately 20:00 on Friday 19 June until approximately 05:00 on Monday 22 June 2026.
The works have been scheduled over the weekend in order to minimise disruption to weekday traffic.
During this period, the A13 motorway will operate in a two-way traffic configuration between the Frisange and Altwies interchanges. The maximum speed limit in the affected section will be reduced to 70 km/h. Several motorway access ramps and exits will be closed, with diversions signposted on site.
The following closures will apply during the works:
• Access ramps from the Frisange interchange to the A13 motorway;
• The Frisange exit for traffic coming from the Croix de Bettembourg interchange;
• Access ramps from the Altwies interchange to the A13 motorway;
• The Altwies exit for traffic coming from the Croix de Bettembourg interchange.
The following diversions will apply during the works:
• Drivers wishing to join the A13 towards Schengen from the Frisange interchange will be redirected via the N3, N13, N16 and the Mondorf interchange;
• Drivers wishing to join the A13 towards the Croix de Bettembourg interchange from the Frisange interchange will be redirected via the N3, N13 and the Hellange interchange;
• Drivers travelling on the A13 from the Croix de Bettembourg interchange towards Frisange or Altwies will be diverted via the A13 towards Schengen, the Mondorf interchange, the A13 towards the Croix de Bettembourg interchange, the Altwies interchange, the N16 and the N13;
• Drivers travelling on the A13 from Schengen towards Frisange will be redirected via the Altwies interchange, the N16 and the N13;
• Drivers wishing to join the A13 from the Altwies interchange will be redirected via the N16 and the Mondorf interchange.
The Administration added that preparatory works required to implement the temporary traffic arrangement will begin several hours before the start of the main works. Traffic disruptions are therefore expected from late Friday afternoon.
