On Wednesday 17 June 2026, the Grand Ducal Police issued an additional witness appeal in connection with an assault that occurred in Ettelbruck earlier this month.
According to the police, at around 17:00 on Wednesday 3 June 2026, an altercation took place between two individuals on the terrace of a restaurant on Grand-Rue in Ettelbruck, during which one person sustained an arm injury.
In connection with this incident, the police are seeking information about the two individuals shown in the photos below.
Any information that may help identify the persons in question should be passed on to the Ettelbruck Police Station via tel.: 2448-41000 or via email: police.ettelbruck@police.etat.lu.
Update: On Wednesday 1 July 2026, the Grand Ducal Police confirmed that one of the two individuals sought in connection with the assault had since been identified and removed the second photograph from the witness appeal. At the time of writing, police were continuing to seek to identify the remaining male suspect and renewed their appeal for anyone with relevant information to contact the Ettelbruck Police Station.
