The Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy has announced that from Monday 16 February 2026, it will launch a new call for tenders, accompanied by an investment aid scheme, aimed at supporting companies in the construction of photovoltaic plants with a capacity between 30 and 200 kWc.

The ministry said this additional call for tenders continues the commitments made during the national consultation “Einfach – Séier – Erneierbar” (“Simple – Fast – Renewable”) and aims to strengthen the existing framework by targeting a capacity category particularly suited to SMEs, notably through the availability of surfaces such as industrial roofs, façades or car parks (canopies).

Beyond the installation of new capacity, the scheme encourages companies to maximise the electricity produced, particularly through self-consumption, energy sharing or the integration of charging stations. Projects including storage will benefit from reinforced support, reflecting the higher investments required to optimise energy flexibility through battery installation.

The call for tenders follows the now established subdivision into three lots, each divided into sub-lots with or without storage:

Lot 1: Photovoltaic plants >30 kWc and ≤200 kWc (building roofs; land in ZAE)

•            Sub-lot 1a: without batteries

•            Sub-lot 1b: with batteries

Lot 2: Photovoltaic plants >30 kWc and ≤200 kWc – “Innovative” (on a building: roofs with light modules, façade modules)

•            Sub-lot 2a: without batteries

•            Sub-lot 2b: with batteries

Lot 3: Photovoltaic plants >30 kWc and ≤200 kWc (canopies)

•            Sub-lot 3a: without batteries

•            Sub-lot 3b: with batteries

The ministry said the total budget allocated to this call for tenders amounts to €3,000,000 and support will be granted on the principle of competition, based on the criteria defined in the specifications.

Interested companies may submit their applications until Friday 17 April 2026. The specifications will be available for download on Guichet.lu from Monday 16 February 2026.

Two free webinars will take place to assist companies in preparing their applications:

• Thursday 26 February (in English)

• Tuesday 3 March (in French)

The ministry noted that registration details will be published shortly in the “Events” section of the Luxinnovation website https://luxinnovation.lu/events.
