The Maison du Grand-Duc has reported that Prince Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg, received in audience five new ambassadors for the presentation of their credentials at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg-Ville on Thursday 17 October 2024.
The new ambassadors to Luxembourg are as follows:
- Xavier Aliaga Sancho, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ecuador;
- Aiga Liepina, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia;
- Spyros Attas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus;
- Ferit Hoxha, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania;
- Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand.
Prince Guillaume officially became the Lieutenant-Representative (Lieutenant-Représentant) of his father, the Grand Duke, on 8 October 2024. Among his new responsibilities is the accreditation of ambassadors to Luxembourg.
