The anti-bullying project “Together Against Mobbing” was today presented at the Forum "Geeseknäppchen" in the presence of Luxembourg ministers, along with members of the education and police sectors.

On 24 October 2017, the Secretary of State for Homeland Security Francine Closener and the Minister of National Education, Children and Youth Claude Meisch participated in the presentation of the educational project in the presence of the director of the Aline Mayrisch High School, Gaston Ternes, and the general director of the Grand Ducal Police, Philippe Schrantz.

The "Together Against Mobbing" initiative, launched by the police, in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth and the media group at Aline Mayrisch High School, aims to inform pupils, school staff and parents about the phenomena of bullying, cyber-bullying and blackmail ("racketing").

The result of the project was an audiovisual "toolbox" offering solutions to prevent exclusion and harassment through appropriate prevention measures at school. Three clips, written and played by high school students from Aline Mayrisch, illustrate these phenomena that affect up to one in six students in Luxembourgish high schools, or one in five for cyber-bullying. A companion booklet, available in German and French, has been created to provide further information on current legislation, police councils and classroom activities regarding bullying.
