From September 2015, the TRIFOLION Echternach will be hosting four separate business events covering the topics of tourism, the promotion of occupational health and behavioural economics.
The first seminar, on Wednesday 23 September 2015, will examine how tourism companies can gain more sales through optimising their websites. As information and posts, reader-friendly texts, concise headlines and appealing visual designs can have a significant effect on travellers looking for guidance, the seminar will focus on how to lay out a company's Internet content whilst at the same time optimising their position in search engines.
In a second conference on Thursday 1 October 2015, Dr. Dirk Braun will be offering participants insights from the perspective of behavioural economics in the practical application of the 'pay what you want' concept. Dr. Braun has employed this idea as a marketing tool, together with both German and international colleagues, for the last five years. He is of the opinion than decision-making in the economy runs deepers than a purely financial process, and instead depends on emotional, biological and social motivations.
Dr. Braun will offer explanations, through behavioural economics, to questions such as why individuals freely choose to pay for meals in restaurants even when they are not forced to, or why establishments with no admission fees such as museums and zoos, can often produce higher incomes.
The penultimate seminar in the series will take take place on Thursday 8 October 2015, highlighting the stance that complaint management systems offer the opportunity to increase customer loyalty. Rather than evaluating complaints as a personal attack against employees, this seminar will portray them instead as a sign of the unmet needs of customers and a chance to improve service quality. Participants will learn how to professionally negotiate complaint management to keep the claimant satisfied and possibly ensure they return.
In a final seminar on Wednesday 18 November 2015, participants will learn how corporate health management and the preservation of employee performance are not just trends, but rather key factors in the success of a company. Speakers Stefan Pelger, CEO of DKV Luxembourg S.A. and Harald Holzer, CEO vitaliberty GmbH will demonstrate how companies which promote healthy workplaces have been found to reduce health care costs, increase employee motivation and effectively increase productivity. DKV Luxembourg is the only supplier for the promotion of workplace health in the Grand Duchy, and promote it as a potential instrument in modern corporate strategies.
This subject has grown in significance as of late, following a petition submitted to the Chamber of Deputies Luxembourg for burn-out, the phenomenon of long-term exhaustion and diminished interest in work, to be recognised as an occupational illness in the Grand Duchy.
