The Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce has announced the launch of the House of Entrepreneurship's Financing Unit to facilitate business access to funding.
Faced with the increasing complexity of financing mechanisms and government aid programmes, the House of Entrepreneurship at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce is launching the Financing Unit, a new service designed to assist businesses with their funding applications. Presented on Tuesday 19 May 2026, this initiative aims to improve the clarity of the aid system and facilitate access to financing solutions tailored to entrepreneurial projects.
Over the years, Luxembourg has strengthened its support for businesses through a collaborative public-private ecosystem and a broad range of government aid schemes and programmes designed to provide concrete support to businesses at different stages of development.
Despite this extensive offering, many entrepreneurs and project leaders still struggle to navigate the system, according to the Chamber of Commerce. A complex system, delayed initiation of processes and administrative complexity can result in missed opportunities despite the existence of support mechanisms.
With its Financing Unit, the House of Entrepreneurship aims to address a concrete need expressed by entrepreneurs. The new structure focuses on two key missions: facilitating access to funding sources and helping businesses identify and secure government support adapted to their projects.
As a facilitator, the unit informs entrepreneurs and project leaders about available support measures and directs them toward the most relevant programmes and partners at the appropriate stage of their entrepreneurial journey. The objective is to help them make informed decisions while optimising time and resources.
The unit is also expected to play a unifying role, ensuring active coordination within the ecosystem of financing and support mechanisms. It will work with public and private partners, including Luxembourg's Ministry of the Economy, to encourage synergies and a coherent approach benefiting entrepreneurs.
According to the Chamber of Commerce, the unit will also draw on field experience to identify difficulties encountered by businesses and contribute to improving support mechanisms.
The Chamber of Commerce added that the House of Entrepreneurship aims to help streamline the entrepreneurial journey through its various services. As part of administrative simplification efforts coordinated by the Ministry of the Economy, several recommendations based on field experience have already been put forward, notably concerning the "once only" principle, which seeks to facilitate information-sharing between government agencies. This principle forms part of ongoing discussions on the evolution of the legal framework governing support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The information session brought together several key actors from Luxembourg's entrepreneurial ecosystem, including the Ministry of the Economy and various public and semi-public stakeholders. According to the Chamber of Commerce, this collective effort reflects the importance of a coordinated and complementary approach to addressing the diverse needs of entrepreneurs and their projects.
During this session, the Ministry of the Economy presented an overview of support measures available to SMEs in 2025, as well as the main elements of the draft law on SME support, which is expected to be adopted soon. The proposed legal framework aims to consolidate and clarify existing schemes, while expanding eligibility to more businesses and sectors. It also foresees support better adapted to current challenges, particularly for technological, environmental and climate-related projects.
To complement this support, the House of Entrepreneurship has also published an infographic on its website outlining the main government aid programmes and key contacts.
Designed as an evolving structure, the Financing Unit is intended to adapt and expand over time, with the aim of improving financing support and making the business support system more transparent, accessible and effective for companies.
