LuxTrust & INCERT Announce Strategic Partnership to ‘Strengthen Digital Sovereignty’

On Tuesday 28 July 2026, LuxTrust and INCERT announced the signing of a strategic partnership to combine their capabilities in digital identification, strong authentication, electronic certification and secure digital exchanges.

The Luxembourg-based organisations said that the partnership builds on Luxembourg’s recognised expertise in digital identity, cybersecurity, cryptography and trust services, and both organisations aim to promote that expertise while strengthening the strategic technological capabilities of Luxembourg and Europe.

The organisations stated that against a backdrop of increasing cyber threats, growing identity fraud and more stringent European regulatory requirements, this collaboration aims to strengthen the reliability of digital trust services, a key priority for public authorities, businesses and citizens alike, and by combining their complementary expertise, LuxTrust and INCERT will develop solutions that meet heightened security requirements and address Luxembourg’s and Europe’s digital sovereignty challenges.

According to the organisations, the partnership will support public and private sector organisations in implementing secure digital identification and authentication processes. It will also accelerate the development of interoperable services that can be deployed rapidly and adapted to growing market needs. For users, this collaboration is intended to provide stronger protection against identity fraud while enabling simpler, smoother and more secure digital experiences, and directly supports Europe’s ambition to build a trusted, resilient, secure and sovereign digital ecosystem.
