On Monday 7 September 2026, the Luxembourg Paralympic Committee (LPC) reported on the participation of Amsal Redzepovic and Paul Kremer at the 2026 UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships, held in Huntsville, Alabama, United States, from Friday 4 to Monday 7 September.
Amsal Redzepovic and Paul Kremer competed in the tricycle category (MT2) and the hand bike category (MH4) respectively. For both Luxembourg athletes, this was their first participation in a World Championships. Nearly 400 para-cyclists from 49 countries took part in the event at Cummings Research Park.
The LPC reported that the competition began on Friday with the individual time trials. On a 14.6 km course, Amsal Redzepovic finished fifteenth in the MT2 category with a time of 33:02.05. Paul Kremer placed sixteenth in the MH4 category over 29.2 km, recording a time of 58:15.16.
On Sunday, both Luxembourg athletes took part in the road races. The LPC noted that conditions were particularly demanding due to the heat. Amsal Redzepovic finished fourteenth over the 41.4 km MT2 course, one lap behind the winner, while Paul Kremer placed sixteenth in the 69 km MH4 race, also one lap behind.
The LPC said: “Beyond the rankings, this first World Championships experience represents an important step for both athletes, who competed against a very high-level international field and in difficult racing conditions. It allows them to gain valuable experience at the highest international level and will serve as a basis for their continued development.”
