On Friday 11 September 2026, TDL Organisation asbl and Škoda Luxembourg presented the route and key details of the 86th Škoda Tour de Luxembourg at Garage M. Losch in Bereldange.

The race will take place from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 September 2026, covering 701.3 km over five stages and more than 11,000 metres of elevation gain. The 2026 edition will include an individual time trial in Ettelbruck, which returns to the Tour for the first time since 1947, while Junglinster will host a stage finish for the first time.

Opening the press conference, David Brito Morén, Managing Director Škoda at Losch Luxembourg, highlighted the long-standing partnership between Škoda and the Tour de Luxembourg, noting that the two have worked together since 2005. He also referred to Škoda’s roots in cycling, recalling that the company began with two-wheel production in 1895. “For Škoda, this is not just a pure sponsorship, it’s more than that,” he said, adding that the event brings people together and reflects the same values of passion and continuous improvement that the brand seeks to promote.

Andy Schleck, President of the Škoda Tour de Luxembourg, highlighted the continued presence of the Luxembourg national team, saying the race provides local riders with an opportunity to compete against international teams and showcase themselves at a higher level. He added that the provisional field includes several high-profile riders and stressed that the organisers aim to keep the race competitive until the final stage.

The provisional entry list features 101 riders from 17 teams representing ten countries, including seven UCI WorldTeams as well as ProTeams, Continental Teams and the Luxembourg national team. Among the notable riders listed are Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Premier Tech), Nils Politt and João Almeida (UAE Team Emirates-XRG), Tao Geoghegan Hart and Bauke Mollema (Lidl-Trek), Jasper Stuyven and Dylan van Baarle (Soudal Quick-Step), and Neilson Powless (EF Education-EasyPost).

Luxembourg will be represented by a six-rider national team comprising Mats Berns, Loïc Bettendorff, Mathieu Kockelmann, Noé Ury, Larry Valvasori and Luc Wirtgen. Two additional Luxembourg riders, Alexandre Kess and Arno Wallenborn, are also listed with Team Lotto Kern-Haus Outlet Montabaur.

Amazon will be a premium sponsor of the 86th Škoda Tour de Luxembourg, marking its first partnership with a sporting event in Luxembourg. The company, which has maintained its European headquarters in the Grand Duchy since 2003, said the partnership builds on its existing collaboration with the Luxembourg Cycling Federation (FSCL). “We share that passion for cycling with a large group of cycling enthusiasts at Amazon itself, so it is a natural step to also support the biggest cycling event in Luxembourg,” Catalina Geib, Policy and Press Communications Manager at Amazon, told Chronicle.lu.

The organisers added that the final two hours of the race will be broadcast live on RTL and several international channels.
