The Film Fund Luxembourg and d'Filmakademie, organisers of the Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis (Luxembourg Film Prize), have announced the cancellation of this year's award ceremony.
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) health crisis, the 9th prize-giving ceremony for the best contributions to Luxembourg cinema, originally planned for October 2020, has been postponed to 2021. Since the Luxembourg Film Prize is held every two years, the 2021 edition will cover a three-year period.
The Film Fund Luxembourg has also decided to postpone its cinema meetings, which were initially scheduled to take place at the end of summer 2020, to a later date.
