Luxembourg's Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Economy have reported that a meeting on the future of Liberty Steel in Dudelange took place on Monday 25 November 2024.
On Monday, Luxembourg's Minister of Labour, Georges Mischo, and representatives of the Ministry of Economy received the OGBL and LCGB trade unions as well as the staff delegation to discuss the current situation and the future of Liberty Steel in Dudelange.
During this meeting, which took place at the premises of the Ministry of Labour, all parties expressed their "serious concerns" regarding the non-payment of wages.
Minister Mischo reportedly assured the unions and staff delegation that his ministry would ensure that solutions were sought to avoid the situation deteriorating further.
