On Tuesday 26 November 2024, DEEP by POST Luxembourg Group announced a strategic partnership with OVHcloud, a French cloud computing company, with the aim of offering a sovereign cloud for the Luxembourg market.
According to DEEP, the project will be based on an integrated cloud platform (hardware and software) developed by OVHcloud which will be, in disconnected mode, hosted and operated autonomously by DEEP in its own data centres, located in Luxembourg. It is expected to help "guarantee European sovereignty of the hosted data". In the long term, the OVHcloud platform will also host a specific software offering.
The solution designed by OVHcloud is based on 25 years of innovation that offers a set of high-performance, secure cloud services that respect its users and their data. Commercialisation of the project is planned for 2025.
Sébastien Genesca, member of the DEEP management committee who is also in charge of Cloud solutions, explained: "This partnership is strategic in more ways than one: DEEP's Luxembourg customers will be able to host their sensitive and critical data in a Sovereign Cloud hosted in DEEP's data centres and benefit from the capabilities of the OVHcloud solution, particularly in terms of the computing power required to use Artificial Intelligence."

Cliff Konsbruck, Deputy CEO of POST Luxembourg and member of the DEEP management committee, concluded: "This strategic partnership will enrich DEEP’s multi-cloud offering in order to provide the Luxembourg market with even more diversified solutions adapted to the specific needs of local businesses."
DEEP is a new entity created by the POST Luxembourg Group, bringing together the expertise of its subsidiaries EBRC, Elgon, Digora Luxembourg and the B2B activities of POST Telecom. DEEP currently has more than 750 employees.
