On Wednesday 27 November 2024, Luxair announced the launch of its charitable Christmas collection, featuring “Ugly Christmas Sweaters” and matching socks, to raise funds for two Luxembourg-based charities.
Designed for the whole family, the Christmas sweaters (or jumpers) are available in children's sizes, from two to twelve years old, and adult sizes ranging from XS to XXL. The socks are also available in children and adult sizes.
The airline has chosen to help two local charities dedicated to children: Kriibskrank Kanner, which supports children with cancer and their families, and SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde, which works to protect and support children in need. All proceeds from the sale of the jumpers and socks will be donated to these organisations.
The jumpers and socks will be available to buy at Kirchberg Shopping Centre on Saturday 30 November and Sunday 1 December 2024, and at Cloche d’Or Shopping Centre on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December 2024. They will also be available at the Luxair Travel Stores in Luxembourg Airport and in Munsbach.
The jumpers will cost €29.90 for adults and €27 for children. Matching socks are available at €9.90 for adults and €6.90 for children.
For more than three decades, the Kriibskrank Kanner Foundatioun has supported families with children battling cancer. The foundation’s dedicated multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive support from initial diagnosis through treatment and remission. Their services include administrative and financial assistance, psychological and social support, and educational activities.
Since 1974, SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde has been working from Luxembourg to protect, promote the well-being and support the development of children around the world. The organisation mobilises public opinion, raises and manages funds and implements development programmes.
