On the opening day of the Schueberfouer 2015, Sources Rosport has opened a novel competition which will represent a first of its kind in the history of the fair.
To participate, members of the public must take a somewhat unusual 'selfie' at the 675th edition of the funfair, before posting it to Rosport's Facebook page. The photo that receives the most Facebook 'Likes' will win a dinner for four people, involving three gourmet courses prepared by Renato Favaro, a celebrated Italian chef. Renato Favaro has been cooking since an early age, and earned his first Michelin star in 2002 here in Luxembourg with his gourmet Ristorante Favaro in Esch-sur-Alzette.
The winner will be able to enjoy this meal up high in the sky in the Schueberfouer's tallest attraction, the Ferris wheel, against a backdrop of a closing celebratory fireworks display illuminating the Luxembourg City skyline. At 56 metres high, the Ferris wheel has been standing as a proud symbol of the Schueberfouer since 1995.
The competition will be opened tomorrow, Saturday 22 August 2015, and will close on 6 September 2015 at midnight. The dinner itself will take place on the final day of the Schueberfouer, 9 September 2015.
