On the evening of Tuesday 18 August 2015, two separate food establishments were broken into along Avenue du Bois in Luxembourg City.
The Grand Ducal Police reported that the first break-in took place some time between midnight and 08:30 the following morning. The window of a restaurant was broken into, and money was taken from the cash register.
A second break-in, this time involving a snack bar, is thought to have occurred between 01:00 and 09:30. The crime was very similar to the initial burglary, with a window again broken to allow the perpetrators to enter the building and steal cash.
The Grand Ducal Police have not commented on whether the two crimes are related.
