In the early hours of this morning, the Grand Ducal Police received a report that a man was attacked along Rue de Strasbourg in the Gare district of Luxembourg City.
At around 04:00 on 18 August 2015, a man of unknown identity was reportedly attacked from behind by two men. The victim fell to the ground and was subsequently held down firmly by the wrists by one of the perpetrators whilst the second perpetrator, his accomplice, pulled the victim's wallet from his pocket.
Upon doing so, the two men, who were reported to have been speaking French, ran away.
According to the Police, the victim offered the following descriptions of the two attackers:
Man 1: Thought to be of Mediterranean origin; around 2 metres tall; wearing a blue-coloured cap
Man 2: Thought to be of Mediterranean origin, with a height of around 1.74 metres; bearded.
