Weekend reports from the Grand Ducal Police have shown that eight motorists had their driving licenses seized after being found to be driving whilst intoxicated.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, three drivers tested positive for alcohol in Schrondweiler, Luxembourg and Bofferdange after being pulled over by the police for driving at excessive speed or veering across the road.
Between Saturday evening and Sunday morning, a further five motorists were stopped and found to have been driving whilst heavily intoxicated, two of which had collided with another vehicle or a road barrier. In each case, the driving license was confiscated.
