At around 17:45 yesterday afternoon, a fire broke out in a corporate building in Esch-sur-Alzette.

The Grand Ducal Police reported that the fire was caused by sparks from a cutting disc, which made contact with a flammable material nearby and ignited the flames. Firefighters were able to get to the building on Rue Romain Fandel quickly, and the fire was rapidly extinguished with no injuries reported.

The fire did however cause material damage inside the building.
