At around 09:45 yesterday morning, a man broke into a family home in Sauerland but was caught by surprise upon the return of the homeowner.
The suspect fled the Born area and headed towards Echternach in what was reported to be a grey Audi A6 with foreign license plates. The man was described to be around 35 years old with a strong build.
A manhunt was soon underway for the missing fugitive, who was found just after 10:00 with the help of a Police helicopter.
Two other burglars were caught off guard by the return of the owner of the house they had broken into, on Monday 10 August 2015. The female witness reported that the two perpetrators had been speaking Luxembourgish with one another, and described one of the culprits as being around 1.60 metres tall with a medium build, between 40 and 50 years old and wearing a grey suit and beret.
The two burglars stole bank cards as well as a large sum of cash.
