A police manhunt was underway yesterday morning for two burglars who broke into a house in Wiltz and fled from the scene.
One man was described as around 50 years old, with a thin frame and wearing a blue shirt and a cap. His accomplice was thought to be between 25 and 30 and slim, wearing a blue-grey checkered shirt. The second suspect fled in the direction of Winseler station.
Police began a local search for the two missing suspects, warning the public not to allow strangers in the house or give a lift to anyone they did not know well.
Just after midday on 10 August 2015, the second perpetrator was sniffed out by a police dog in the undergrowth by Wiltz cemetery. Certain stolen items were recovered and the arrested offender is due to be brought before the examining magistrate today.
