On Thursday 3 July 2025, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) announced the opening of a private banking branch in Paris as part of its development in the French market.

According to BIL, the local team in Paris will work closely with the group's centre of expertise in Luxembourg. BIL’s French branch is now fully operational. Located in Paris, the branch offers what the bank describes as a "bespoke range of services" to a client base consisting of private individuals, wealthy families, entrepreneurs and family offices based in France.

The French branch will be headed by Gabriel Bendayan. The team will work closely with BIL’s private banking and corporate banking teams in Luxembourg to provide financing and investment solutions, along with the bank’s expertise in what it refers to as "wealth planning and international structuring.”

Jeffrey Dentzer, CEO of Banque Internationale à Luxembourg, stated: “It is one of our strategic priorities to expand our international wealth management business. Opening our branch in Paris is an essential stage in our development in France, a key market that we know well and where we can bring considerable added value to our future clients.”

Claude Eyschen, Head of Wealth Management at BIL, added: “Thanks to the close collaboration with our wealth management and corporate finance experts, the French team will be able to offer our new clients our range of customised BIL services. Whether it is to manage their personal wealth or grow their business, our clients will enjoy all the benefits of BIL’s know-how.”

BIL also reported that the inauguration of the French branch forms an essential part of its 2025-2030 strategy, which aims to develop its private banking business in several key European markets where the bank already has extensive knowledge and experience.
