Minister of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Nicolas Schmit, will be joined by Director of the Agence pour le développement de l'emploi (ADEM), Isabelle Schlesser, for a working trip in Portugal on 22 and 23 March 2016.
Minister Schmit is due to meet with his Portuguese counterpart, José Vieira da Silva, as well as Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security and Secretary of State for Employment, Miguel Cabrita, and the president of the Instituto de Emprego e Formação Profissional (IEFP), Jorge Bruno da Silva Barbosa Gaspar. Discussions will focus on the situation of employment and the potential for future cooperation between ADEM and IEFP.
Another theme of the visit will be in addressing the social economy, with key players in this field joining to meet the Luxembourg Minister. Minister Schmit will then be received by Portuguese Prime Minister, António Costa.
