The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has announced a series of upcoming events at Schluechthaus in Luxembourg-Hollerich for September 2026, featuring concerts, workshops, urban culture events and activities dedicated to photography and youth culture.
Jazz Break x Knowedge – Jazz and House Dancing
On Saturday 5 September 2026, from 10:30 to 20:30, and Sunday 6 September 2026, from 10:30 to 15:30, this unique event will bring together the jazz and House dance communities to explore the richness and continuity of these dances rooted in African-American culture. Participants will discover their shared origins while highlighting the characteristics that make each style unique.
Guest of honour Diego Odd Sweet (@odd_sweet) will share his unique expertise during a series of inspiring workshops, while the Jazz Break and Knowedge teams will introduce participants to the basics of their respective disciplines. No previous experience is required.

Creative Sunday – Photography workshop with Laurent Sturm
On Sunday 13 September 2026, from 10:00 to 14:00, the Creative Sundays return with an edition dedicated to photography. Photographer Laurent Sturm invites teenagers (aged fifteen and over) and adults to explore the creation of a photographic series, whether using a smartphone or a camera. Open to everyone, with no prior experience required, the workshop encourages experimentation and the development of a personal perspective. Through practical advice that can easily be applied in everyday life, participants will learn how to transform their observations into coherent and expressive images.

Mad Ones Fest – Punk Rock Festival
From Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September 2026, Schluechthaus will come alive to the sound of punk rock for the third edition of Mad Ones Fest, organised by The Mad Ones asbl. Having become a key event on the alternative scene, the festival returns in a more ambitious format than ever, with three days of concerts, three stages and 25 bands on the line-up. This edition will showcase the full diversity of punk rock, hardcore and their related genres, offering audiences an intense musical experience in a friendly and decidedly underground atmosphere.

On Stéitsch
On Saturday 26 September 2026, from 14:00 to 22:00, the National Youth Service invites the public to the nineteenth edition of its annual On Stéitsch festival, a rich and diverse cultural and artistic event aimed at all audiences. Its main objective is to promote youth cultures while highlighting the organisations and individuals active in the youth sector and the projects they develop.
A key event marking the start of the new season, On Stéitsch brings together young creators and artists around a varied programme comprising several stages, an exhibition area, as well as creative, sports and information stands. The festival covers numerous fields of expression and creation, all driven by a shared vision: to provide a space for free expression, open to everyone, where exchange, creativity and participation take precedence over judgement and competition.
