Sponsored by Luxembourg's Ministry of Finance, Catapult: FundTech is an acceleration programme held every year for fintechs addressing key challenges in the fund industry.
Anchored in Luxembourg's leading fund ecosystem, the programme connects innovative startups with industry leaders and stakeholders to support growth and scale.
Now in its second edition, Catapult: FundTech is a flagship programme of the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT), co-sponsored by the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) and MiddleGame Ventures. Its ambition is clear: to strengthen Luxembourg's competitiveness as a global fund centre while fostering a dynamic and sustainable startup ecosystem.
Each edition selects ten fintech companies offering solutions that modernise, digitise and automate the fund value chain. They gain privileged access to industry leaders, investors and experienced founders, while receiving guidance on business development, risk management, investment readiness and customer acquisition strategies. The programme culminates in final pitches delivered to an expert jury and a high-profile audience at the ALFI Global Asset Management Conference, this year taking place on 24–25 March 2026.
Following a highly competitive selection process, the ten fintech innovators selected for the second edition of Catapult: FundTech have been unveiled:
- Aptus.AI (Italy/ Luxembourg)
- Brickken (Spain)
- Fume (Switzerland)
- FundProcess (Luxembourg)
- Fundrella (Sweden)
- Maanch (United Kingdom)
- Nexus Assurance (Ireland)
- Qvonto (Denmark)
- Regpit (Germany)
- YOONO (by Terasim Limited) (United Kingdom/ United States)
These companies will accelerate their growth within Luxembourg’s €7.6 trillion fund ecosystem throughout March.
The programme has already proven its impact. Last edition's winner, U-Reg, a Singapore-based RegTech company, shares how the experience helped accelerate its entry into Europe. In this interview, founder Florian Dumas reflects on the programme's value, the company's growth in Luxembourg, and offers advice for startups looking to make the most of this unique platform for innovation in the fund industry.
What was your overall experience participating in the FundTech programme?
Florian Dumas: It was a fantastic experience, and winning first prize made it even more rewarding. The programme was extremely well organised. The FundTech team had a strong understanding of the challenges facing the fund industry and the types of solutions it needs, which helped all participants stay focused and relevant.
In the week leading up to the [pitching] event, we attended several preparation meetings that clarified expectations and allowed us to refine our approach. That guidance was invaluable. Overall, it was a learning process that helped us better understand how to contribute to the European fund ecosystem.
How did the programme impact UReg's growth and expansion strategy?
Florian Dumas: Participating in FundTech was a true turning point for us. It gave U-Reg visibility and credibility in Luxembourg's fund and financial industries. Thanks to the programme, we gained our first clients in Luxembourg and established the relationships that are now supporting our European expansion.
It really acted as a stepping stone. Starting in Luxembourg–which we see as the heart of the European fund industry– helped us build recognition and trust across the region. It also reinforced our commitment to investing time and resources in Europe, rather than treating this as a one-off engagement.
What advice would you give to other startups considering joining FundTech?
Florian Dumas: First, be open-minded and genuinely curious about what the industry needs. Take time to understand the problem statements that will be shared during the application process— that's essential to create relevant, impactful solutions.
Second, come with a real strategy for European expansion. The programme will have much more value if it aligns with your long-term goals. And finally, invest time and resources not just during the programme, but after it. The real impact comes from continuous engagement with the ecosystem: coming back, meeting people, organising follow-ups and showing commitment.
Whether you win or not isn't the point. What matters most are the touchpoints, the access to the ecosystem and the relationships you build. For us, FundTech was the beginning of a long-term journey in Europe, and we're continuing to build on that momentum.
Catapult: FundTech continues to be a catalyst for fintech innovation, connecting startups like U-Reg with the expertise, networks and opportunities needed to succeed in Europe. With each edition, the programme reinforces Luxembourg's position as a hub for fund industry innovation and supports the growth of the next generation of financial technology leaders.
