The Association of British and Irish Accountants in Luxembourg (ABIAL) has announced that it is organising a Public Sector Accounting Evening on Tuesday 21 November 2017 from 18:45 at the Cercle Munster in Luxembourg-Grund.
Two international experts on public sector accounting, Ian Carruthers, chair of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) since January 2016, and Thomas Müller-Marqués Berger, Global Head of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSASs) for Ernst & Young GmbH, as well as Chair of the Public Sector Group of Accountancy Europe, will discuss the global take up of accruals accounting in government accounts, where Europe stands, and what this means for accountants in both public sector and private firms.
