Details: InterNations, the biggest English speaking private networking Group in Luxembourg, is organising a Charity event for the Caritas Challenge on Thursday 4 June 2015 from 19:00 - 23:00 at Le Coral (15 rue Strasbourg, Luxembourg-gare).
The event is open to everyone to get together for a good cause, enjoy some cool drinks in the company of Luxembourg's expats and global minds and watch some of the best dancers of the Grand Duchy perform their magic.
Cost: €10/person (includes one drink). All profits go to the Caritas Challenge.
The current line up includes:
- Gilles Caviglia (http://www.alkemia.lu), the probably most famous Salsa dancer in Luxembourg, will present not only Salsa but also Bachata and Kizomba.
- The 'Tribal Style & Belly Dance' group NINSIANNA will perform a gypsy dance in authentic costumes.
- Zayane will perform with a small group of 4 bellydancers a combination of differents styles, inspired by tradition, folklore and modernity of the oriental world.
- Aerial Monkeys is a Luxembourg-based performance art group that will combine dance and acrobatics centred on a vertical burlesque pole.
The Caritas Challenge is a fundraising campaign to assist those children in the Grand Duchy who are most vulnerable to poverty. Donations are used in a variety of ways: to fund Caritas Buttek food banks; provide opportunities throughout the year for children to attend holiday camps; and provide educational classes known as “Passerelles” (meaning walkways or links) for young people, mostly of non-Luxembourg origin.
Further contributions in the size of €2 (or multiples of it) to the good cause can be made in the form of buying tombola tickets. Besides supporting the Caritas Challenge you can also win a 1.5 littre Magnum bottle of Poll Fabaire Cremant.
