Details: AMCHAM will hold a Nation Branding Evening Seminar on Thursday 4 June 2015 from 18:30 at the premises of KPMG Luxembourg (39 rue JF Kennedy, Luxembourg-Kirchberg).
How is Luxembourg perceived abroad? Surveys reveal that many feel the Grand Duchy has a solid financial centre; yet many also feel that it is a tax haven, an image the authorities are trying to erase.
Should its leaders in politics, culture and sport be put more in the spotlight? Should images of the quaint medieval chateaux and the royal palace be used in promotions, or should modern buildings in Kirchberg and Clausen be used instead?
Other countries use slogans and tag lines, as well as logos and other images - how could/should Luxembourg approach this issue to help promote Luxembourg in a competitive world?
Are policies needed to increase competitiveness to attract more FDI and why is Luxembourg losing out to other countries?
The issue of Nation Branding is one that is complex and the international community here can contribute to the discussion by looking at the issue more from the outside-in.
