Details: The Festival de Wiltz, which has been organising its summer festival under its oversize tarpaulin in the shadow of the Chateau de Wiltz for 25 years, has announced that it is organising a second Winter Festival, from 25 October until 7 February.
On Saturday, 25 October at 20:15 in the Knights' Hall at the Chateau de Wiltz, a concert entitled "Klassik für Alle" (Classics for all) will be presented by "Das Tschechoslowakische Kammerduo." Pavel Burdych (violin) and Zuzana Berešová (piano) will perform works by Kéler, Dvořák, Smetana, Strauss, Chopin and Suk.
On Saturday, 15 November at 20:15 in the Knights' Hall, the Luxembourg pianist Pascal Meyer will give a recital with works by Debussy, Szymanowski, Scriabin, Villa-Lobos, Reuters and Chopin.
As part of the "Liichtwochen" the Luxembourg formation "The Duke's Singers" will perform its Christmas concert on Sunday, 21 December at 17:00 at the Notre Dame Church in Wiltz.
On Saturday, 10 January 2015, the Luxembourg pianist Sabine Weyer will perform works by Schumann and Prokofiev, as well as the premier of sonata no.3 op.113 "Martyr City" by David Ianni.
This is followed by a duo-recital of Lieder and melodies entitled "Auf Flügeln of Gesanges" with Mariette Lentz (soprano), Monique Simon (mezzo-soprano) and Beatrice Rauchs (piano), with a programme of works by Schumann, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Fauré, Chausson ... on Saturday, 24 January at 20:15 in the Knights' Hall.
Produced by INECC in partnership with the Festival of Wiltz, UGDA, PieX, Spring Masters, "Missa Sancta Caecilia" by Claude Windeshausen will be performed on Friday 6 February at 20:00 in the church in Niederwiltz, featuring Choirs of Wiltz, Lallange, Belval Metzerlach, and Metz, with the orchestra conducted by Romain Kerschen; Soloist: Veronica Windeshausen
The Winter Festival of Wiltz season will close on Saturday, 7 February at 20:15 in the hall of the tourist office in the castle of Wiltz with Diana Wolfgang Welter presenting "Der Klügere gibt nach ?? "(Affectionate and ironic differences between men and women) and "Dinner for One" following the famous duo's New Year's Eve.
