The fourteenth edition of the DKV-Urban Trail competitive foot race is taking place in Luxembourg City on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 April 2025.

As reported on the official website, "participating in the DKV-UrbanTrail means exploring, by walking or running, an unusual side of Luxembourg town (sometimes unknown to the residents themselves) and (re)discovering its heritage."

This coming weekend, the event will once again take athletes and walkers from the cobbled streets of Luxembourg's old town to little-known dirt roads off the beaten track, from the heights of the Saint-Esprit plateau to the Hesperange municipal administration, while bordering the Alzette river in a forest; from one of the many historical sites and tourist attractions to another (e.g. Grand Ducal Palace, Neumünster Abbey, Place d'Armes, Bock casemates, Three Acorns, Philharmonie), through the Aqua Tunnel in the Pétrusse valley to the Pfaffenthal, 1 km further on, and then one by one up the steps leading to the Place de la Constitution (Gëlle Fra) to end up at the Cité Judiciaire, on the Saint-Esprit plateau.

The City of Luxembourg (VdL) has announced that traffic will be temporarily reorganised in the city centre, in order to ensure the smooth running of the event. No traffic disruptions related to the DKV-Urban Trail race are expected on Saturday. Some streets in the Pétrusse and Pfaffenthal valleys will be partially closed on Sunday, from about 09:00 to 20:00, namely: Bisserwee, Montée de Clausen, Montée du Grund, Rue Large, Rue de la Tour Jacob, Rue Munster, Rue du Fort Olisy, Rue de Prague, Schuman service road (desserte Schuman), Rue du Fort Thungen, Boulevard Thorn, Rue de Trèves, Rue Saint Ulric, Boulevard Ulveling, Rue Sosthène Weis, Rue Jules Wilhelm, and adjacent streets. Streets along the race route will be reserved for runners, but will reopen to traffic after the last runner has completed the race. The DKV-Urban Trail route will also pass through several roads open to traffic, namely: Allée Mansfeld, Rue St Mathieu, Val de Hamm, Rue Auguste Charles and Boulevard Patton.
