On Monday 28 April 2025, the latest edition of the Economic Survey of Luxembourg, conducted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and coordinated by Luxembourg's Ministry of the Economy, will be presented by OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann.

This periodic review of OECD member country economies follows a two-year cycle. Each survey, which also assesses past reforms, provides a comprehensive analysis of recent macroeconomic developments. It also serves as a framework for public policy recommendations and best practices aimed at improving the long-term performance of the national economy.

The OECD Economic Survey of Luxembourg 2025 focuses in particular on the pension system, the green transition, and productivity, highlighting various challenges and avenues for further consideration.

On this occasion, Mathias Cormann will be received by Luxembourg's Prime Minister Luc Frieden and Minister for the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles, for a working meeting. A delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Social Security, as well as Tom Haas, Head of Delegation to the OECD EDRC Committee and Director of STATEC (the national statistics and economic studies institute), will also take part in the meeting. The main findings will then be presented at a press conference.

The OECD Secretary-General will also be granted an audience with His Royal Highness the Hereditary Grand Duke at the Grand Ducal Palace, followed by a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Foreign Trade, Cooperation and Humanitarian Action, Xavier Bettel, and Minister Lex Delles.
