On Wednesday 22 April 2026, Luxembourg’s Chamber of Employees (CSL) announced the launch of the 2026 wave of its Quality of Work Index study, focusing on well-being, climate risks and artificial intelligence (AI) in the workplace.

The study will take place in spring and summer 2026 in collaboration with the University of Luxembourg. As in previous years, the research institute infas, based in Bonn, Germany, has been commissioned to carry out the survey among employees in Luxembourg.

The research aims to collect data on working conditions in an evolving professional environment and to support analysis of labour market trends. This year, it places particular emphasis on well-being, climate-related workplace risks and the use of AI in professional settings.

According to the CSL approximately 19,000 individuals will be contacted between early June and September 2026. Of these, 3,000 respondents from the existing panel will be invited to participate in telephone interviews. In parallel, 16,000 individuals randomly selected by the Inspection Générale de la Sécurité Sociale (IGSS) will receive an invitation letter to take part in the survey.

Participants may choose between a telephone interview or completing the questionnaire online, noted the CSL, adding that the participation is voluntary, and all responses will be treated in “strict confidence and remain fully anonymous”.

The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and is aimed at individuals aged 18 to 64 who work at least ten hours per week and either reside in Luxembourg or are cross-border workers, travelling from Germany, Belgium and France.
