PM Luc Frieden in Japan; Credit: ME

Luxembourg's Prime Minister Luc Frieden is currently on a four-day working visit to Japan, from Tuesday 22 to Friday 2025 April 2025, taking in both Tokyo and Osaka.

In Tokyo, he visited Luxembourg's Embassy, hosted by Luxembourg's Ambassador to Japan, Michel Leesch.

Also, along with the Executive Director of Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office (LTIO) Tokyo, Yuriko Matsuno, he visited the X-Nihonbashi Tower where he met with representatives of iSpace, including Takeshi Hakamada, CEO, and Ryo Ujiie, CTO. He also met with representatives of the NTT DATA Group, including their President and CEO, Yutaka Sasaki.

PM Frieden then travelled to Osaka, where he visited the Expo 2025 where he toured the Luxembourg Pavilion, along with Members of Parliament Gusty Graas, Fernand Etgen, Diane Adehm, Marc Spautz, Taina Bofferding and Mars Di Bartolomeo, and a number of other exhibits.

According to the ministry, this working visit is part of the Luxembourg government's commitment to strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation with Japan and consolidating its partnerships with countries that share similar values.
