Luxembourg-based skincare brand Fleurs de Peau recently announced that its moisturising lotion received an Excellence Award at the European Natural Beauty Awards (ENBA), held in Paris, France, on Tuesday 29 September 2026.
The awards ceremony took place at the Théâtre Marigny, with Fleurs de Peau founder Iman Pavant attending alongside her husband, Dr Tom Pavant, a surgeon who has been involved in the creation of the brand and its scientific development.
Fleurs de Peau officially launched in October 2023, following almost two years of work on the concept, formulas and packaging. Its first products were initially sold exclusively online, before becoming available through pharmacies, concept stores and specialised retailers in Luxembourg.
Speaking to Chronicle.lu, Iman Pavant explained that her background in healthcare influenced the idea behind the company. "For me, the objective was never simply to launch another cosmetic brand," she said, adding that she wanted to consider not only the formulas used for babies and children but "the product as a whole".
Although production takes place in France, the founder stressed that the company has its roots in Luxembourg, where both the company and brand are registered. The original formulas were also developed locally in collaboration with chemical engineer Céline Coelho, founder of Luxembourg cosmetics brand Melucia.
Iman Pavant explained that production takes place in France because there is currently no industrial structure in Luxembourg suited to complete cosmetics manufacturing at the scale and standards required by her company.
She explained that the products undergo regulatory safety, stability and microbiological assessments. The company also uses independent in-vitro testing to assess whether endocrine-related biological activity is detected under the test conditions, including oestrogenic, androgenic and thyroid-related activity.
Asked about the development of the products, Iman Pavant also highlighted the role of packaging. "For us, packaging is not simply a marketing or design element: it is an integral part of the product," she said.
The award-winning Moisturising Lotion is certified Cosmos Organic by Ecocert and contains 99% ingredients of natural origin, without fragrance or essential oils. According to Fleurs de Peau, laboratory testing detected no endocrine activity within the conditions and limitations of the tests. The product comes in a bio-based bottle which is compostable according to the EN 13432 standard, while its pump is still made from petrochemical-based plastic.
Looking ahead, the founder said Luxembourg remained its main market, while Fleurs de Peau is currently looking to strengthen its presence across the Benelux region.
"For us, international development is not simply about being present in as many countries as possible, we want to grow with the right partners and preserve the coherence of the brand as it develops," she said.
