On Friday 2 October 2026, the Maison du Grand-Duc announced that Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie visited Ehnen, in the municipality of Wormeldange, for their third "Joyeuse Entrée" since the "Trounwiessel" (trown change) in October 2025.
Following previous visits to Esch-sur-Alzette on 24 April 2026 and Troisvierges on 10 July 2026, where Grand Ducal Couple visits several regions of Luxembourg to meet residents, the latest Joyeuse Entrée focused on Luxembourg's Moselle region.
This visits programme centred on wine-growing traditions, the preservation of the region's cultural landscape and innovation.
The visit began at 14:30 at the Quai de Wormeldange, where the Grand Ducal Couple were welcomed by Wormeldange Mayor Claude Pundel, President of the Chamber of Deputies Claude Wiseler and Luxembourg's Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism Lex Delles.
They then boarded the MS Princesse Marie-Astrid, together with representatives of the 22 municipalities in the region and members of the public.
The programme on board included a presentation of the guests, a welcome address by the mayor and the signing of the guest book.
After the Grand Ducal Couple arrived by boat in Ehnen, they greeted members of the public and were welcomed by children from the Billek primary school.
The visit continued at the Puddel riverside area in Ehnen, where several thematic areas showcased different aspects of life in Luxembourg's Moselle region.
According to the Maison du Grand-Duc, at the "Miseler Genoss" local market, the Grand Ducal Couple were invited to discover regional products and specialities and meet local producers. Other areas focused on tourism initiatives, education, community life and volunteering, with participants including young firefighters and scouts.
The programme also highlighted innovation in wine-growing, with presentations of practices and technologies used.
Later in the afternoon, the Grand Ducal Couple met senior citizens under the site's main marquee and attended a musical performance by the Chorale grand-ducale Sainte-Cécile de Wormeldange.
